LUC VINCENT  -   BIOGRAPHY

A true hairdresser, Luc Vincent is said to be always ready to take on new challenges and to be creative like no other!

At an early age, he observed his mother coloring her friends' hair and making sure that the entire neighbourhood had an impeccable cut to get to school and work. Next step? Continue the family tradition and join… in hairdressing!

Although he is the only male student during his studies, Luc is determined to succeed. So, as soon as he graduated with the honorable mention, he decided to register for several competitions. He is immediately noticed and respected by his pairs when he wins the award - Colourshines Creative Challenge by Sebastien International in Los Angeles and bronze medalist at the «Trophée Couleur» of L'Oréal Professionnel.

Spotted by the best headhunters in the industry

KMS Research offers him the responsibility of Artistic Director of Quebec. His work? He created, perfected his art, travelled around the world, offered interviews in the United States, Canada and Quebec, in addition to being a speaker and consultant at conferences or seminars, for 7 years. All these years, he continued to perfect himself in the major academies, notably in Los Angeles and London.

Once again, his well-established reputation allows him to meet the artistic team of Cirque du Soleil who offers him to be in charge of making custom-made wig cuts for the artists of the famous show «O» in Las Vegas. He then became Canadian artistic director for Revlon Professional and internationally for Tosca Style, where he discovered a true passion for chemistry. At that time, he opened his first show, but the idea of starting his range of products remained in his mind for a few years… Until then, he opened a second salon, the Salon Saco Laval.

“The King of Metamorphosis” from Airoldi

In addition to his schedule as a businessman, artistic director or lecturer, he was chosen by the Airoldi team for an outing at Canal Vie where he became «the king of metamorphosis». Its results? More than 300 transformations in 5 years of collaboration on the set. A real «machine»!

Pas de quoi s’arracher les cheveux

And he finds time to write his first book! «Pas de quoi se arracher les cheveux» (Éditions La Presse, 2010), a little hairdressing bible, has a snowball effect in the media: it becomes a hair columnist for the most listened Quebec radio stations, including the FM93 in Quebec City (1 year) where it shares its “stuff” in open line, partners with V Télé for C'est extra! (2 years) and contributes on a monthly basis to the program Trucs et Cie et Aubaines & Cie (5 years), offers interviews to the biggest newspapers and fashion magazines, holds a monthly column in the magazines Gabrielle (1 year) and La Semaine (2 years), created his first product Luc Vincent antistatic for hair (2012), etc.

Only my hairdresser knows

All his professional experiences and all the confidences of his clients lead him to create the training and psychological help workshop «Only my hairdresser knows it» in collaboration with a psychologist friend.

Her participation in the six-part web series, Cups, Colors and Confidences, earned her the Best Supporting Actor award at the Openworld Toronto Film Festival and WWA FilmFest in London. This man has all the talents! This series, featuring a hair salon, has received 18 nominations worldwide and won seven awards including Best International Series - Comedy - at the Miami Webfest in 2016.

His most recent adventure?

The creation of the Luc Vincent Hairdressing Academy in 2016 in Vaudreuil-Dorion. And while hairdressing has always been a family affair with the Vincent family, it is all the more so since her business partner is none other than her sister, Dominik Vincent.
